Update February 17th 2022:

The day we so anxiously awaited is here and we are overjoyed to announce that, according to the Federal Council’s newest press conference, fitness clubs are no longer subject to any COVID regulations.


What does this mean concretely? It means: BACK TO NORMAL!


  • The access to your club will no longer be subject to the COVID Certificate requirement. Everyone can come to the club.
  • The mask is no longer mandatory – you may access our facilities as well as train without a mask, but of course, you may continue to wear a mask if you feel safer to do so. 
  • All of the club areas will reopen immediately and according to the usual opening times. This is especially valid for all the SPA and Wellness areas.


We would like to put the emphasis on the fact that we still value your safety most of all. We will therefore continue to do our best to offer you an impeccably safe workout environment. We also invite you to continue to disinfect your equipment and hands regularly.


Update January 19th 2022:

Club-specific reopening of spa area in Holmes Place Zürich City Jelmoli


Starting from January 25 as follows:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM to 7 PM



The access to the wellness area is regulated based on the 2G+ principle.


Update January 11th 2022:

Club-specific reopening of spa area in Holmes Place Oberrieden-Seepark:


The SPA areas will be open as follows:

  • Wednesday, January 12th 2022: 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Thursday, January 13th 2022: 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Saturday, January 15th: 3 – 6 PM
  • Sunday, January 16th: 3 – 6 PM
  • Wednesday; January 19th 2022: 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Thursday, January 20th 2022: 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Wednesday, January 26th 2022: 9 AM – 7 PM
  • Thursday, January 27th 2022: 9 AM – 7 PM


The access to the wellness area is regulated based on the 2G+ principle.


Update December 17th 2021:

The Federal Council has announced the following new restrictions for the fitness industry, which are valid starting from Monday, December 20th 2021:

  • Club access possible based only on the 2G principle (vaccinated or healed)
  • Mask obligation at all times (even during your workouts)
  • Wellness areas will close for the time being


Update December 6th 2021: 

The following in-club measure is valid effective immediately:

Mask obligation at all times and in all areas except during your workouts


The access to your club continues to be regulated by the 3G principle (vaccinated, healed or tested). The only change is that antigen tests now have a validity of 24 hours


Update September 13th 2021: 

You might have heard: the Federal Council has decided to extend the COVID Certificate to Fitness Clubs starting on Monday, September 13th. This decree is set to expire preliminarily on January 24th 2022. We at Holmes Place believe that fitness should be accessible to everybody. Nonetheless, we need to follow the newly-published rules and adapt to the current developments.


WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOUR CLUB ATTENDANCE?

Access to our facilities will be granted with an official COVID Certificate.


IF YOU HAVE A COVID CERTIFICATE

Simply take the certificate as well as official ID with you upon your next club visit OR send them to us via email (please send a copy of your ID as well as a screenshot / photocopy of the COVID Cert page that shows: QR code, name and surname, birth date and validity date of the certificate ). We will only store the validity duration of your COVID Certification (in order to grant you access to the club for that period) and delete all other submitted data from our systems as soon as we have verified them.

CLUB USAGE – RULES & SAFETY MEASURES

We almost cannot believe that we get to say this, but: no more mask obligation in the club from Monday September 13th. Nonetheless, we will still need to follow certain rules and safety measures in order to provide you with a safe workout environment: 

  • Please continue to check in and out at reception. 
  • Our club is cleaned and disinfected thoroughly multiple times a day. Please also clean and disinfect your equipment before and after usage and disinfect your hands. You will find dispensers with antiseptic gel throughout the entire club.
  • Please make sure you change your outdoor shoes into your indoor shoes before entering our workout areas.
  • If you feel sick or experience any flu symptoms, stay at home and do not come to the club.


Update June 24th 2021: 

We are sure you have heard: the Federal Council has eased many of the measures imposed on Fitness Clubs and most importantly decided that there will be no mask obligation during your workouts! We take great satisfaction in announcements like this, as we have been waiting and hoping to gradually be able to return to normality for so long. All the hard work paid off and we would like to thank you for your patience and resilience over the past months. You made it possible!


You will find all of the updated measures that will be valid starting from this Saturday, June 26th 2021, listed below as well as displayed around your club. Providing you with a safe workout environment will always be our number one priority, which is why it is important that all of us continue to adhere to the below rules. We thank you for your help!


IN-CLUB RULES AND SAFETY MEASURES


  • The mask remains obligatory in the reception area and changing rooms. We urge you to keep following this measure seriously.
  • You don’t have to wear a mask during your workouts and group classes anymore. Nonetheless, we recommend to always carry a mask with you and to wear it when transitioning from one space to another within the club.
  • Please continue to check in and out at reception.
  • We recommend to still keep a 1.5 meters distance. Stickers on the floor will continue to remind you of this.
  • Our club is cleaned and disinfected thoroughly multiple times a day. Please also clean and disinfect your equipment before and after usage and disinfect your hands. You will find dispensers with antiseptic gel throughout the entire club.
  • Please make sure you change your outdoor shoes into your indoor shoes before entering our workout areas.

Update April 19th 2021:

Finally: it is a joy to announce the reopening of your fitness club on Monday, April 19th. We will reopen the club following our usual opening hours and are very happy about being able to bring back the majority of our services.


As has been the norm these past few months and in order to guarantee an impeccably safe workout environment to all our members and staff, there are some rules and safety measures issued by the governing authorities that need to be followed. You will find them listed below. Your fitness and health are our utmost priority, which is why we ask you to cooperate with us in following the specified regulations.

IN-CLUB RULES AND SAFETY MEASURES

In general:

The mask is obligatory in all areas except in the ones that are designated by corresponding club signage.


Please continue to check in and out at reception.


Signage across the club will indicate how many people can be in each given area at the same time. If you want to check your club’s current capacity real-time, you can do so HERE.


The standard 1.5 meter distance needs to be kept at all times. Stickers on the floor will remind you of the #socialdistancing we need to practice.


Our club is cleaned and disinfected thoroughly multiple times a day. Please also clean and disinfect your equipment before and after usage and disinfect your hands. You will find dispensers with antiseptic gel throughout the entire club.


Spend as little time in the changing rooms as possible (e.g. prioritize having a shower at home).


Please make sure you change your outdoor shoes into your indoor shoes before entering our workout areas.


Please prioritize spending time in the club for your workout routine only. The time for togetherness in our club will come again soon!


If you feel sick or experience CoVid symptoms, stay at home and do not come to the club.


Group Fitness:

Our in-club Group Fitness classes will resume with a limited amount of participants. Please make sure to book your Group Fitness class spot in advance in our booking system HERE. We are working hard on ensuring that your classes will be available for booking shortly. If your preferred class is not available yet, please try again regularly.


We will continue to offer some group classes outdoors. You will find more information in the booking system.


The mask will be obligatory also during your in-club group classes. There may be some exceptions, e.g. during outdoor group classes. You will receive more information upon attending your class.


Participants can be blocked from booking classes if

the guidelines are not followed;

they book a class and then do not turn up, taking a place away from

someone else.


Wellness Area:

  • Our wellness area will remain closed for the time being. We hope to be able to reopen it as soon as possible.


Our Club Team will be at your complete disposal to answer any questions you might have.


Update March 19th 2021:

As you probably heard, the Federal Council has decided not to reopen Fitness Clubs for the time being.


We are very saddened by this news as we were ready and eager to welcome you back to the club and we hope to be able to reopen soon.

Update November 24th 2020 for Lausanne

We are excited to announce to you that our Lausanne club has reopened on November 24th.


Being able to welcome you back is a privilege. It is also our responsibility as a Premium Health Club to make sure you return to an impeccably safe environment, which is why there will be certain regulations and safety measures in place, as established by the cantonal authorities:


In general

  • According to the canton’s decision, the capacity of the club will be limited for the foreseeable future. Our opening hours will remain the regular ones. Our club is big enough, so we should be able to welcome you all at your preferred workout time. You can check the club capacity at all times HERE.
  • The mask is mandatory at all times except while training on our cardio machines as our cardio zone is spacious enough to provide you with the necessary safety distance.
  • The standard 1.5 meter distance needs to be kept at all times. Stickers on the floor will remind you of the #socialdistancing we need to practice.
  • Please continue to check in and out at reception.
  • Our club is cleaned and disinfected thoroughly multiple times a day. Please also clean and disinfect your equipment before and after usage and disinfect your hands. You will find dispensers with antiseptic gel throughout the entire club.
  • If possible, use individual means of transport for arrival and departure and avoid using public transport.
  • If you feel sick or experience CoVid symptoms, stay at home and do not come to the club.


Closed areas

As established by the cantonal authorities and for the time being, changing rooms (incl. showers) and wellness area will remain closed and no group classes will be delivered. Rest assured, we will continue to provide you with our amazing live streaming group fitness classes on Instagram HERE.


Update November 4th 2020 for Zürich Crowne Plaza, Zürich City Jelmoli and Oberrieden-Seepark

The following is valid for our three clubs in Zürich (Oberrieden-Seepark, Zürich Crowne Plaza and Zürich City Jelmoli). Unfortunately, our Geneva and Lausanne clubs will remain closed until the end of the month. 


It is our duty as a Premium Health Club to make sure you exercise in an impeccably safe environment. See below our new safety measures. We need your help to adhere to these measures, as this is a responsibility that we all carry to protect ourselves as well as our fellow members. 


IN GENERAL

  • There is a general mask obligation. There are areas that are exempt of said obligation because we can guarantee our members the necessary safety distance as explained in our protection concept by the Swiss association IG Fitness. Since this varies per club, please check the in-club signage or email communication sent by your club for more information.

TRAINING AREA

  • We will have Plexiglas separations between our cardio machines. This, together with the required safety space of our cardio layout, will allow you to use our cardio machines without a mask.


GROUP CLASSES

  • We have a new maximum capacity of 15 people in our group classes. In our Holmes Place Zürich Crowne Plaza club it is 12 respectively 10 (depending on the studio). 
  • You will be able to attend many of our classes without a mask. Our Premium Fitness Club has large enough studios and a good ventilation system, which enable us to exercise with the necessary safety distance as established by our protection concept. You will be provided with more information upon attending your group class.


WELLNESS AREA

  • The maximum capacity is always denoted before entering the wellness area and beyond that, before entering the sauna, steam bath etc.
  • No mask obligation in the saunas, steam baths and whirlpools, as the maximum capacity in these zones is one person at a time.
  • However, there is a mask obligation in the quiet zones.
