4 ideas for a sporty children's birthday party!

Make your kids' birthday an unforgettable experience — with these entertaining and exciting sports themes!

Do you want to surprise your child with a spectacular birthday party in 2016? Create your own unique party theme related to your child's favorite sport and add a touch of festivity. You will fondly remember the many activities, the playful decoration and the unforgettable moments for many years to come.

Olympic Games

Olympic fever is in the air this summer. Since Brazil is about to host one of the most opulent sporting events, it would be a good idea to host your own Olympic Games at home. Children of all ages and abilities will be enthusiastic and enjoy sports and games.

When the children arrive, divide them into groups to represent the different countries. Then start the fun games with a range of different activities: relay race, ring toss, sack racing, frisbee throwing, hula hoop competition, spoon and egg race, shot put, coin toss,... the list is endless. Don't forget about the important prizes for the winners. (Make sure every child gets a prize — to avoid tears.)

When decorating, you should definitely not miss out on flags and the notorious Olympic rings should not be missing — these could be placed across the table with drinks and snacks, for example.

Schwimmen

If your kids love water, surprise them with a pool party! In the afternoon, go together to the outdoor pool near you and have fun with water games or on the inflatable boat.

As soon as the time in the water is over, the next fun part begins. Continue the water motto and introduce children to the “underwater” theme. Make your own jellyfish — there are lots of easy and creative instructions. The children can then cast a net and catch the jellyfish — this will make a big impression!

Another excellent activity would be a photo shoot. The children can be creative and with the help of various props and a colorful background, funny photos can be created.

End the party in style, in keeping with the theme, by giving each child a colorful party bucket instead of a party bag.

Do your kids love dancing? Then a children's birthday party with the motto “ballet” is just the thing for you. The children can slip on cute tutus and jerseys and learn choreographies to their favorite songs such as “Dance of the Sugar Fairy.”

The grand finale? A spectacular performance in front of parents! Don't forget about the beauty session at the start of the party. You can braid braids and make a ballet hair bun — and what should definitely not be missing: glitter!

If the little ones get tired of tiptoeing all the time, prepare a feast with sweet dishes such as disguised marshmallows or pink cupcakes with ballet marzipan decoration on top.
