It's happening again. The same happened last year and the year before that. The summer.
It's Christmas in one minute, with all the calorie-rich indulgence that comes with it and before we know it, Valentine's Day wraps its lovely little wings around us and adds inch by inch to our waistlines. And not to mention Easter and everything else in between.
So here we are. We only have a few months left before we head headlong for our pool vacation. How do we get ready for summer fun in time? Don't worry, these three steps will make the transition to warmer weather a pleasant paddling experience rather than swimming against the tide.
Losing weight is the number one goal for most people before summer. During winter, it was a good idea to eat a bit more, while the weather gave us an alibi for skipping the gym. Others may not see the weight we've gained, but we know it's happened.
To lose weight, we must consider our calorie intake. The average calorie intake for men is 2500, while women should not take in more than 2000 calories per day. However, individual requirements can be very different.
Counting calories may seem boring and time-consuming, but if you want to lose those inches, you need to take control of what you eat. If you don't feel like using the old notepad, try a calorie counting app like My Fitness Pal download, which makes logging easier.

We are what we eat. If we eat junk food all the time, we'll feel that way too. Make immediate changes to your diet by making sure you eat a nutritious, balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, fiber, carbohydrates, and healthy fats.
For those with a sweet tooth among us, cut out the excess sugar and try the earth's natural sweetener — honey — instead.
Be sure to drink two to three liters of water to remove toxins in your body, keep the body hydrated, and remove excess waste. studies have linked increased water intake to weight loss, with hydration being key to factors such as digestion, muscle function, and lipolysis (fat loss).

Drum roll please. We all knew this was coming. The man standing at the top of the mountain didn't just end up there — the same goes for our fitness just in time for the start of summer. To achieve our fitness goals, we need to exercise regularly.
For those with busy lives who don't have time to do a full gym workout every day, try making small changes by taking a long walk on your lunch break or on your way home, or take our quick half-hour classes at your local club a few times a week. Everything counts.
There are so many forms of movement that we never depend on interesting ideas to motivate ourselves. There is something for everyone.
If you want to get fit in time for summer and have fun at the same time, try something else, such as Antigravity in Holmes Place. Our gravity-defying classes help you build strength and gain more flexibility — and are addictive.
