On April 22, we are celebrating “International Earth Day” - and in keeping with that, we have 5 varied outdoor workouts to get more active in the fresh air of nature.

Which day is better for celebrating the beauty of nature outdoors? “Earth Day” serves to increase appreciation of the natural environment and to mobilize human energy.

This year, on Friday, the April 22, the 46th anniversary of this event is already taking place. This day is intended to draw attention to ecological and environmental issues and celebrate the natural beauty of our planet.

Here is our 5 outdoor workouts, around the”Earth Day“to be able to celebrate this year as extensively as possible:

1. Kayak
Would you like to see some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth from a completely new perspective? Depending on your experience and skill, a kayak tour can take you along coasts, downstream, into wild or even calmer waters.

Kayaking is not only a good cardio workout, it also trains your entire upper body and gives you a good insight into the “water” habitat. You can also spot and observe various animal species, such as: kingfishers, herons, voles and even otters.

2nd mountain run
Running in the mountains is one of the most intensive outdoor workouts and not for the faint hearted. Participants in this sport run on hiking trails and other demanding outdoor routes, which even many hikers have problems with. The good thing is that you get to see spectacular views and you can also do a Harcore workout away from any noise and hustle and bustle.

If mountain running seems too extreme for you, then you can also enjoy a run on beautiful nature trails or a long-distance hike. Both are equally beneficial for body and soul.

3. Mountain biking
The world's coasts and forests are ideal playgrounds for mountain bikers. From technically difficult terrain to fast-paced downhill routes to bicycle-friendly trails — there is something for everyone.

So grab your helmet and go for it. Don't forget: Take the time to enjoy the beautiful views!

4. Bouldering
Many climbing disciplines require rope, rock anchors, snap hooks and a person who secures — all you need for bouldering is chalk and possibly a mat. Boulderers don't climb quite as high up and the primary focus here is more on technical challenges, in which climbing techniques and playful tinkering are more important than strength and endurance. Fortunately, many of the best climbing tours are in the most beautiful environments. Search online for clubs or rock climbing trips near you.

5th Tai Chi
Tai chi, a low-energy workout, is perfect for contemplating and enjoying nature. With this training method, you not only strengthen your core but also your balance and mobility. Tai chi can be used as a relaxation and breathing exercise for those who suffer from stress, restlessness, and other related mental health problems.

In the form of outdoor Tai Chi classes, you can also enjoy this relaxation method in beautiful rural areas — perfect for “Earth Day.”
