We can finally get our summer dresses, strapless tops and short-sleeved T-shirts out of the closet again. Summer is here! To prepare your upper body for this off-the-shoulder period, we've put together the best workout tips for shoulders and arms.

It's time to adapt your workout plan to summer fitness goals - increase your training performance: try heavier weights or do multiple repetitions. The so-called deltoid muscle is responsible for the round shape of our shoulders. In order to be able to train or shape this area better, there are special exercises that you can perform without equipment - push-ups, for example.

To be able to train this muscle group even more effectively, you should use weights during training. You can optimally perform exercises for the upper arm and shoulder area with dumbbells. You can build up more resistance and sculpt and strengthen muscles. Depending on how you feel, this circuit training can be repeated 3-5 times.

Here are our top exercises for an effective shoulder workout to improve body shape (from neck to biceps) and improve posture.

1. Raise arms sideways and frontally with dumbbells
Hold a dumbbell or weight in both hands and lift your arms straight forward. Then repeat this from the sides - open arms wide outwards. Do the exercise 15 times, then rest for 30 seconds, then repeat.

2. dumbbell curls
This is a good exercise to strengthen your biceps using weights. Bring your hands to your chest with bent elbows and weights. Stretch your arms up vertically above your head and repeat this exercise 15 times — then pause for 30 seconds. Then repeat.

3rd dumbbell chest workout
You lie on your back with both knees up and stretch your arms upwards (a light dumbbell in your right hand). Switch the dumbbell from one hand to the other and open your arms to the side - repeat the set 16 times and then pause for 30 seconds - repeat.

4. Prevented dumbbell rows
While standing, bend your upper body forward with space between your feet, knees slightly bent and dumbbells in both hands. Try to stretch your hands forward until they are parallel to the floor and your shoulder blades touch each other. Do the exercise 15 times — rest for 30 seconds and then repeat.
