They always strive to show their best and most beautiful side anytime and anywhere — including when working out in the gym, of course. What to do when makeup and sport don't get along so well and a sporting performance with too much makeup on the face doesn't achieve the desired result?

We present to you the Top three reasons and tipsWhy too much makeup is not a wise idea for your workout and why you should instead use the motto: “Less is more! ” should be followed by:

1. Your makeup won't last until the end of the workout
If you're planning on doing a really intense, sweaty workout, then you shouldn't have to worry about whether your makeup will stick or the eyeliner will smudge. For a Zumba class, for example, you'd better apply a moisturizing foundation with a touch of color. In this case, this alternative would still be the most effective as long as you remove the foundation before the cool-down phase, as it would otherwise clog your pores, which could have an unpleasant side effect on your skin. Even waterproof makeup crumbles or can settle on the towel when combined with sweat. Our tip: Work out without makeup!

2. Your skin could suffer as a result!
Sweating is our natural air conditioner and helps the body cool down when it is too overheated. If you are planning to do lots of jumps, squats, dances or wilder movements, then this would also be the best solution to train without makeup - no matter which course you attend. Allow your pores to expand without excess contamination. Clogged pores thwart your beauty plans because they absorb makeup on the skin — pimples and blackheads occur.

3. It is a waste of time and money
Every morning, we spend a few minutes (or even a few more) applying makeup, powder, mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, and lipstick. After the workout, however, we are faced with the following problem: We have to remove everything again and apply it again — this requires more time.

If you prefer to work out in the morning, it's best if you don't put on makeup until after your workout.

If you prefer to train in the afternoon or evening, then the suggested solution above may not be as effective. However, with the right tips, practical products and simple routines, you can alleviate this problem.

When working out in the evening, it is recommended to apply a moisturizer or serum before going home. Simply clean your skin with sulfate-free cleansing milk beforehand to prevent dryness and inflammation. Attention: Dabbing is better than wiping! If you want to get rid of sweat on your face, dab it gently with a towel or piece of clothing so that the skin is not easily damaged. A special facial cleanser two or three times a month, tailored to your skin type, should provide your skin with the necessary relief and provide optimal care and care for it.

Here is a simple, natural and soothing face mask that's easy to make yourself:

  • 1 small cucumber, peeled
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. natural yogurt

Chop the cucumber in a blender until you get a pulp and then add the honey and yogurt. Mix everything thoroughly. Then refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Apply the mask with a brush or fingers and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse off afterwards.
