There is no doubt that we all want a healthy lifestyle — but achieving this sometimes doesn't seem so easy. In fact, health affects all areas of our being and without health, the meaning of life changes radically.

Many people often ask me “What are you doing to stay healthy? ”, “How do I achieve a healthy lifestyle” or “How can I always live a healthy and happy life? “According to the knowledge and experience of medical experts from the American Heart Association (AHA), there are seven health factors and lifestyle habits that support your heart's health.

Improvements in these seven areas can have a major impact on lifestyle quality and longevity. These are not just “7 healthy tips,” but the 7 most important things you can do for a long, healthy and productive life. According to science, if you comply with at least six of these “7-tips checklist” factors from the American Heart Association, you can reduce the risk of dying an early death.

Scientists have found that by complying with every single factor on the AHA 7 tips checklist, you can reduce the risk of heart failure by 23%. Scoring in the middle third actually reduces the risk of heart failure by almost half, as opposed to the bottom third. The factors in the top third reduce the risk even more.

This checklist was originally created by the American Heart Association to prevent heart disease. Be that as it may, new studies show that you can also prevent cancer with the help of this checklist. If you stick to 6 or 7 of these tips, you can reduce the risk of cancer by up to 51%, as opposed to not meeting any of the points.

By meeting 4 points, you reduce the risk by up to 33%, and with one or 2 points, by up to 21%.

1. Check your blood pressure
High blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke. When your blood pressure is within the healthy range, they reduce stress on the heart, arteries, kidneys and thighs for longer.

2. Control your cholesterol
High cholesterol results in deposits that clog arteries. This is how heart disease and stroke occur. When you control your cholesterol levels, you can give your arteries a chance to stay free from blockages.

3. Reduce your blood sugar
Most of the food we eat is converted into glucose (or blood sugar), which our bodies in turn convert into energy. Over time, however, too high blood sugar levels can damage the heart, kidneys, eyes, and nerves.

4. Get active!
An active lifestyle with lots of exercise is the best gift you can give yourself and your loved ones. Simple but regular exercise increases the length and quality of your life.

5. Eat healthily
A healthy diet is one of the best weapons against heart disease. If you eat properly, your wellbeing improves and you stay healthy — for a lifetime!

6. Lose weight
When you lose excess fat and unnecessary kilos, you reduce the load on the heart, lungs, blood vessels and ribs. In this way, you can give yourself the gift of an active lifestyle, lower your blood pressure and simply feel better all around.

7. Avoid cigarettes!
Smokers have a higher risk of developing heart disease. If you smoke yourself, then now is the right step for your health to stop immediately.
